We are a social gathering spot with a yarn store inside. Our yarns vary from true organic and high-quality yarns to more affordable and day-to-day use yarns. We carry several brands and styles of needles as well. We have patterns and other accessories needed to work on and complete your projects. Finally, we round out the yarn artist's one-stop shop by providing all of these supplies in a warm, social environment conducive to conversation, learning, and relaxation.
Online Store is Closed
Thank you all so much for your support the past few months! With the upcoming move, we have shut down the online shop. Private lessons will still be available through the month of June. Call or email to set up an appointment.
Please join us on Friday afternoons from 1:00 to 3:00 at the Coffeehouse on North Navy Blvd. for our Sit 'n Stitch group.
Online Store is Open!
The online store is open for business. You can find our inventory at http://www.artfire.com/users/YarnsideGathering. The site has a $5.19 mailing charge. If you live in the Pensacola area your order may be hand delivered to you. If you would prefer to not pay the shipping charge, contact us directly and we can arrange a time and place for you to pick up your order.
We are also providing lessons again. The cost is $25 per hour and the lessons will be at your house or at a coffeeshop (or similar locale) of your choosing. We are considering putting together some knit-alongs, too, and they will be announced here.
Thank you again for your support! We look forward to seeing you again soon!
We have closed our storefront location and are in the process of converting to an online shop. You can find our inventory at http://www.artfire.com/users/YarnsideGathering. It is currently a work in progress, but it should be fully up and running in the next few weeks.
Thank you so much for your support over the past two and a half years!
(I think Molly did a spectacular job with the store. We have been fortunate to have as many great customers and friends as we have had in the store. Thank you, everbody, for the support! -bill)
Newsletter Highlights, February 2011
This February will will learn to spin yarns! Many of you know how to tell tall tales, but we're not going to enhance your fibbing skills, I'm talking about making yarn from roving! Our special guest instructor, Stephanie Stratton, is going to teach beginners how to use a drop spindle and a spinning wheel, and she's going to teach an advanced class on the wheel. Classes are the last week of Febrary. Space is limited so register soon.
We are having a pajama party on February 19. We'll knit and crochet and eat pizza all evening.
You can download the newsletter using the link on the bottom right of this page.
Due to pending military orders, the end of the lease term, and the lack of a suitable buyer, Yarnside Gathering will close its doors on February 26. Until that day, we will be open and operating as usual. Most furnishings are for sale.
We are planning a transition to an online store to liquidate inventory but hope to continue offering classes and assistance to our customers in the Pensacola area. All that information will be on the web site as soon as we have it.
Thank you for your support and patronage. We could not have succeeded without you!
